- Polar
Bears on cam
Three years ago,
workers mounted a camera in a
trailer on the ice and beamed a
steady stream of pictures of the
annual polar bear migration on
the Internet, broadcasting
full-time, live from frozen
tundra! This year, Gunter said
the business decided to mount the
camera on a moving object -- a
Tundra Buggy, of course -- so
camera operators can follow the
bears' movements and relay every
minute of it to Web watchers. The
great exodus began a couple of
weeks ago, and the new and
improved polar bear cam has so
far been a hit. "People can
click on to their computer and
see this polar bear digging into
the kelp," said Gunter.
"They're actually migrating
toward the coastline ... to get
back to Hudson Bay to hunt seals
all winter."

Blaine webcam
Magician David
Blaine undertakes his most
extreme challenge, being
suspended in a glass box for 44
days above the Thames with just
water to drink. The
life-threatening stunt, which he
describes as the "one true
test" will see him confined
with just nappies, lip gloss and
baby wipes. The self-confessed
show-off knows the risk.
"When you've nothing but
water in your body, you digest
your own muscles and
organs," he said. The
Official Channel 4 David Blaine
webcam, the so called
"Live Video" which is
actually delayed by 10 minutes
"for legal reasons"
costs £5 per month (sorry
£4.95) and is apparently not
available in the USA or Canada.
You can sign up for 14 days FREE
trail but you have to put in your
credit card details (so you have
to be over 18 years old).
- The
Unofficial David Blaine webcam!
Now you too can
experience the thrills and spills
and excitement of David Blaine's
ordeal in a plastic box dangling
above the Thames! The
webcam will automatically
refresh every thirty seconds. You
can reload but make sure you
don't over-excite yourself!
