- Sushi
Cam
When most people
think of sushi they think of RAW
fish. This is not quite correct.
Actually if you go into any sushi
bar and look at all the seafood
choices, only a small handful
will be actually raw. Most fish
has been prepared in some
fashion. Even though it might
look raw, it has gone through
some kind of process. Either
pickled, blanched, soaked in Sake
(rice wine) and then frozen,
there are many things that happen
to the fish before you eat it.
Now you can check out the
experts. Three streaming views
inside the Taturo Sushi Shop in
Tokyo, Japan.

Butterfly Cam
Butterflies and
moths make up a large group of
insects known as the Order
Lepidoptera (lep-i-DOP-ter-ah).
The name -- from the Greek
lepido, "scale", and
ptera, "wings" --
refers to a prominent feature of
adult butterflies and moths, the
tiny scales that cover the wings
and the rest of the body. Adult
butterflies are wonderfully
diverse in shape, size, and
color. Active during the day,
they live almost everywhere
around the world, from Arctic
tundra to tropical rain forests.
There are more than 250,000 known
species of Lepidoptera, of which
about 18,000 are butterflies.

Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone
National Park now has three
WebCams. If you can't come see
Old Faithful erupt in person, you
can view it online. Old Faithful
is not the largest or most
regular geyser in the park. It
has become a popular destination
because it erupts more frequently
than any of the other big
geysers. Between eruptions, stop
in at the Mount Washburn FireCam
or Mammoth WebCam to see what's
happening elsewhere in
Yellowstone.

located 80 miles (130 km) east of

the easiest scuba diving and
snorkeling in the Caribbean,
thanks to the fringing reef which
surrounds the island, and allows
for shore access over most of
Bonaire's leeward side. You can

- Roach
Cam
These giant
Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches
(Gromphadorhina portentosa), at
the University of South Carolina
are excellent mothers, at least
for an insect! The females carry
their developing embryos inside
their abdomens to protect them
from predators. They then
"give birth" to live,
young roaches that look a lot
like their parents, except they
are much smaller! Animals that
carry their developing eggs
internally are said to be
ovoviviparous. This form of
development probably leads to
adaptive maternal effects on
offspring. The newly hatched
nymphs grow to weigh about as
much as a mouse when fully grown.
